About the Frame:
Shimmering brighly through southern hemisphere nights, the Pyxis constellation was named for the maniers' compasses that have guided brave seamen since the days of the most ancient of Greek myths. Inspired by the audaciousness of those fabled explorers, Akoni's Pyxis also aims to push past known frontiers and discover new territories.
The substantial design builds upon the familiar masculine silhouette of the classic Wellington frames, which were a popular choice for postwar cinema's greatest leading men. But, never one for opting for the expected routes, Akoni's design team navigates new trails, adding a host of impressive new elements, including eye-catching visible titanium cores, expertly positioned to float within laminated Japanese acetate temples.
