About the Frame:
The artist Joseph Cornell built boxes equal parts mysteriou sand emotive, filling them with assemblages of found objects—toy birds, seashells, aperitif glasses, snippets of maps and magazines—that both revealed and obscured meaning. Bold yet balanced, these softly squared-off, oversized frames create an intriguing vignette on the face.
